This thread rolling machine, made by Markthaler, will produce professional coarse adjuster threads.

The well thought out design and very sturdy construction of this device were conceived for workshop use.  Threads of  1.5 – max. 2.2mm diameter can be rolled with extreme accuracy on brass, aluminium or soft iron wires.  Despite the heavy pressure needed to roll the threads, the actual effort required is considerably light, owing to the use of ball-race bearings on the roller plates.  Even after rolling a hundred threads, you won’t have to stop because of tiredness.

The threads can be positioned anywhere along the length of the wire.  The operation of rolling the thread increases the external diameter of the wire slightly.   This is an advantage, as it allows the buttons to be pushed along the smooth part of the wire as far as the thread where they can then grip the wire firmly.  The super sharp thread guarantees an optimum grip on leather, plastic and wooden buttons.
