Strong valve leather

Our thick valve leather is goatskin. Ideal for surface seals or for valve coverings without felt backing, as the leather is soft, has a similar thickness over the entire hide due to the equalization of the thickness and has a nice nap for the sealing side.

Valve leather - gasometer leather is vegetable tanned and therefore brownish and sanded on both sides with a uniform thickness of approx. 1.2+ mm.
Also ideal for surface seals.

The skins have a size of approx. 0.7 - 0.9 m².

As of January 2026: Unfortunately this leather is currently not available. Please switch to our medium or strong sheepskin, which is currently suitable for valve coverings due to its softness and beautiful pile. The normal gasometer leather is also suitable for surface seals.
